In this episode, I interview Dr. Mary Christina Simpson, Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at South County Center for Women’s Health in Rhode Island. Dr. Simpson is a board certified OB/GYN and in her career as a physician spanning twelve years, she’s delivered thousands of babies at South County Hospital and Women and Infants Hospital. In her personal life, Dr. Simpson is married to her husband Greg and they have four children, twins, age 12 ( a son and daughter), a nine-year old son and a five-year old daughter. Dr. Simpson’s life is busy and full and while down time is scarce, in her free time she enjoys barre classes, running, photography, gardening, hiking and travel.
In this episode Dr. Simpson shares her wisdom and knowledge on women’s health, with focused information on pregnancy and postpartum. And she also shares her perspective encouraging moms to prioritize self-care and well-being. Listen and Dr. Simpson and I talk about her experience as an OB/GYN and personally how as mother to four children she creates time for her own self-care and well-being.
